Sometimes Choose the Broccoli, Sometimes Choose the Cake

Sometimes Choose the Broccoli, Sometimes Choose the Cake
Show Notes

Diets in their usual definition, "short term plan for weight loss," are typically extremely restrictive and not sustainable for long-term use.

What I promote is 80/20 eating... 80% whole clean foods, 20% treats/indulgences. How this actually plays out in "real life" is that it means sometimes I stick to the cleaner foods- chicken salads, sweet potatoes, etc. and sometimes I have seconds of the brownie sundae.

It can be hard to see how this plays out in our lives and to actually make the decisions... Like, "Sounds great, Brittany, but how do I actually do this balance? How do I make sure I'm not just always restricting or always indulging?"

In this episode, I break down the steps I mentally walk through when I'm faced with making this decision- which is almost daily- and is now just second nature to me.

I hope you find it helpful!
